As of August 25, 2021, the environmental management system at Gränges’ Salisbury site in the US has successfully been certified in accordance with the environmental management standard ISO 14001:2015.
Through this certification, Gränges’ operations in Salisbury guarantee to continuously and consistently improve its environmental performance and ensure that environmental impacts are identified, measured, analyzed, and reduced. The independent, third-party audit of Gränges’ environmental management system was carried out by NSF-ISR Ltd.
Gränges has a strong commitment to sustainability and the strategic priority is to develop sustainable aluminium products and solutions that have a low climate impact, are circular and resource efficient as well as responsibly sourced and produced. Resource-efficiency, i.e. the use of materials, energy and water, improves Gränges’ environmental and climate performance as well as the company’s profitability and long-term competitiveness.

Achieving this ISO certification is not only a great accomplishment and a testament of hard work by our team in Salisbury, it is also an excellent example of Gränges’ strategic commitment to sustainability and continuous improvements.
To ensure resource-efficiency and comprehensive EHS (environment, health and safety) procedures across our operations, Gränges has an ambition to certify all production facilities in accordance with ISO 140011) (environmental management), ISO 50001 (energy management) as well as ISO 45001 or OHSAS 18001 (occupational health and safety management).
