All three production sites in Gränges Americas are now fully certified against the energy management standard ISO 50001:2018 following a successful certification of the Huntingdon facility. Through this certification, Gränges will work to continuously and consistently improve its energy performance.
The independent, third-party audit was carried out by LRQA Limited.
"Obtaining this certification is a significant achievement and a clear reflection of the hard work by our team in Huntingdon. It also exemplifies Gränges' strategic dedication to sustainability and ongoing improvement. By effectively managing and reducing our energy intensity, we can reduce the carbon footprint of our offerings, leading to greater business and sustainability advantages for our customers”, says Uriel Soberanos, Energy Engineer, Gränges Americas.
This certification represents a milestone for Gränges Americas as all sites – Huntingdon, Newport and Salisbury - are now certified against both ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 50001 (energy management), which is in line with the ambition for the Group. These certifications underscore Gränges’ commitment to sustainability and responsible energy management across its operations.
