Gränges has achieved AAA, the highest MSCI ESG rating, recognizing the company’s strong performance in environmental, social and governance practices. This recognition places Gränges among the global leaders in the industry category Metals and Mining – non-precious metals.
The AAA rating reflects Gränges’ progress in addressing material sustainability challenges. Over recent years, the company has strengthened governance, increased transparency, and further integrated sustainability across our value chain. Key milestones include ISO 45001 certification for occupational health and safety across all sites and the establishment of quantitative incident reduction targets. These efforts have contributed to strong results recognized in several global assessments, including MSCI’s annual rating, which now places Gränges as a leader among the 155 Metals and Mining – non-precious metals companies.
"Receiving the highest MSCI ESG rating confirms that our efforts to reduce emissions, strengthen governance, and increase transparency are paying off. It reinforces the stakeholders’ trust in Gränges and encourages us to continue driving meaningful change toward a more sustainable aluminium industry," says Christina Friborg, SVP Sustainability at Gränges.
