Meet Emma Katarp who works as Application Engineer at Gränges in Finspång, Sweden, and learn more about life at Gränges.
My name is Emma Kantarp and I work as an application engineer at Gränges. As an application engineer, I work with product development at the interface between marketing, research and production. Gränges has a complex manufacturing process and I find that very interesting and challenging.
In my job, I mainly work with developing material concepts for our customers. My tasks are very varied, among other things I work with analyzing and reviewing the customer's specification and adapting our product based on the requirements. I have direct contact with several of our customers and close cooperation is essential to develop our products according to customer needs.
The best thing about working at Gränges is that I get to participate in many different types of activities, I collaborate with many different professional roles and I can influence a large part of the production process even if I do not work in production.
